Week 62!

Family and Friends,
An update on my R$25 watch: the battery already died. haha, I'll be looking for a new battery this week. My companion and I continued being sick but we are slowly recovering with the medicine we have.

One night this week, Elder Vasquez and I were deciding on where to work. We prayed, looked at the map, and deciding on two roads to visit. In the time we had, we talked with 2 families. They both received us well and we marked another day to return. One of the families gave us  bread and chocolate milk. ðŸ˜€

This past Thursday, we ate lunch with the Bishop here. It was really great. This past Sunday, he gave a talk and talked about us and the blessing to have us here in the ward and visiting the members homes. It was great.

Love you all,
Elder Anderson

Week 60 and 61!

Family and Friends,
These past two weeks have been really great!

One highlight was stake conference two Sundays ago. Elder Audukaitis of the 70 was there as well as the Mission President, President Barros. Before it started, I meet Elder Audukaitis in the bathroom which was super cool! I got to talk to him for 30 seconds or so haha. In the conference, a new stake was created. It was great.

Recently, my companion and I both got sick. We've had stomach aches and food hasn't been digesting super well. I think we drank bad water, but it'll pass.

One funny experience recently: We had taught an older man named Lairsio and we returned a few times to his house but he was never home. This past Sunday, we passed by and he was home. He apologized for not being home because he had married that Saturday! Haha, I told my companion that it is a super good excuse haha.

Love you all!

Week 58 and 59!

Family and Friends,
This past week I was transferred from São Carlos to Piracicaba, which is the central city of the mission. I'm serving in the stake center here which is super cool. I've already meet a couple of members and they're great. My new companion is Elder Vasquez! He's from Peru and has 10 months here in Brazil. He's one of the funniest people I've met here and we've already laughed a ton haha.

General Conference this past weekend was incredible! Many of the talks seemed to focus on increased personal responsibility and on staying far from sin. I felt that many talks were especially for me. After President Nelsons announcement, I'm excited for the conference in April! It'll be incredible.

I also bought a new watch here for 25 Reais, which is about 7 bucks haha. It might only last a few months but at least it looks nice! haha.

This new city is super hot but super great! We've meet some incredible people and had some incredible lessons and visits. This next Sunday is Stake Conference and the Piracicaba Stake will split! It'll be cool to see what happens.

Love you all!
